The Gale Key Description Trained by Andromiel (crescent_vision@yahoo.com) Name: Silas Age: Silas does not know what his actual age or birthday are. He assumes he is about seventeen or eighteen years old. The Palace records can reveal that he recently turned 18. Race: Human. Physical Description: Silas is very attractive but fails to reach what most Owners would call either beautiful or handsome. Perhaps it is a mater of taste. Silas is 5’8” with a bit of growth still to go. His natural skin tone is a healthy Caucasian pink but Silas has a constant golden tan from too much sun. Most of his previous Owners have mentioned some degree of displeasure at this. His body leans towards being described as ‘lanky’, but one doesn’t get the impression that he’s fragile at all. There is a sense of subtle strength about him from the very way he stands, to the fact that he is in a perfect physical condition. His hair is relatively long. It brushes past his shoulders in the back and just barely touches his shoulders at the sides. The front fringe is long enough to constantly be covering his eyes. The original color was a dark brown, nearly black. Due to his constant sun bathing, quite a bit of it has bleached into a gold color. Other strands have just simply turned a lighter shade of brown. His hair is thick and rather messy, constantly looking windblown. However, most would consider it his best feature and a lot of previous Owners liked to pet his hair. His eyes are a pale shade of blue-green, more blue than green. They are rather slanted, suggesting perhaps at a particular ethnic if one were prone to speculate. As mentioned, they are often hidden a bit under his hair. His nose is small and unremarkable, his lips upon occasion are a little chapped from too much sun. (Despite constant applying of lip balms.) His lips are more thin than full, but due to the fact that his face is somewhat hidden by his hair, they tend to appear fuller than they really are. He is nearly constantly half-smiling. Silas’s facial structure is oddly delicate, heart shaped. If one did not know him, or if they caught him sleeping, they might even call it ‘angelic’. He has nothing pierced, no tattoos, and no scars. Silas likes to wear things that are comfortable and either leave a lot bare, or are very thin and move easily in the wind. Colors schemes don’t matter that much to him, but his wardrobe seems to be mostly made up of ivory shades of yellow and earth tones. His only jewelry is a kind of tracker around his right forearm in the form of a silver armlet. It has a key slot, and the Owner can remove the tracker with the Gale Key if he or she wishes. Background: Left for adoption under unknown circumstances at the age of two at an orphanage. He was picked up by Palace ‘scouts’ when he was about four years old. He was moved to a Palace facility for young boys being trained to become Keys later. Silas was then renamed(his former name is unknown, he simply became Silas after the Palace took him.) and was happy in his new life. It was far more pleasant to be a Key Candidate, and due to his open, carefree nature, he made friends easily with other Candidates. Anything he could possibly remember about his life pre-Palace is faint at best. Until the age of eleven, Silas learned a variety of different things. How to speak various languages(including sign language}, how to cook, how to play the flute (his brief attempt to learn the harp was disastrous.) and a whole other plethora of odd things. It was obvious from the very beginning that Silas was not going to be a typical Key. One of Silas’s favorite things to do when he didn’t have class was to sneak up to high places where he could experience the wind at its strongest. The stronger the wind, the more he likes it. His ‘disappearances’ caused a lot of worry and punishments until it was realized that Silas never intended to escape or disobey the rules. After he turned eleven, Silas’s sexual education began with a former Key. His beginner training was more like what a pre-med student would learn-how the body works, the weak points, common illness, and other such things. Then he was moved on to sexual techniques in theory and finally in practice. At fifteen he was officially made the Gale Key and given a one-night Owner. This proved to be the norm for the Gale Key, his Owners never last more than a few months at best. He is a perfect short-term Key, although he can’t help but fall into minor depressions each time Owners leave him or trade him for another Key. Personality: It is Silas’s odd personality that both makes him perfect and flawed in the eyes of others. People seem to come to the conclusion often that he is too ‘wild’ when in reality they simply can’t match his confident strength and carefree attitude. Nothing ever seems to bring him down, or anger him. He is in essential a free spirit, he doesn’t try to be anything he isn’t. Some of his Owners have found it uncomfortable that such a laidback, lighthearted person is Owned by them. Silas simply is happy to exist day to day and can be somewhat naïve and sweet. He has an odd sense of humor and often says things that he only seems to understand. He is highly sensitive to the needs of others and is whole heartedly dedicated to his Owners despite knowing they’ll end up leaving him. Oddly enough, he is not really an energetic kind of person. He’s perfectly content to sit in his balcony for hours on end without barely moving. Experience: There’s probably not much Silas has not done. With a wide array of Owners and lovers since he first became the Gale Key, he has had plenty of people to experiment with. He does not have much experience with rough sex or women, although he’s done both. He is the kind of lover that likes to draw things out and does not mind doing most of the ‘work’. He has had an almost unbelievable amount of Owners, from young children that only need a friend, to first time virgins, to stressed Wall Street stock brokers to royalty. Likes: The wind, playing the flute, animals, fruit-based sweets, performing oral sex, ‘long’ short-term Owners, children. Dislikes: The harp, spicy food, cold nights/Winter, heavy clothing, spiders-he is allergic. Mannerisms: Licking his lips when chapped, running his hands through his hair, falling asleep on the balcony, flicking his head to the side sometimes to try to push the strands of hair out of his eyes. Environment: The room is very large and is done in a pale titian shade. It is all almost the same solid color, from the walls that reach up a good twelve feet high, to the bedcovers and window drapes. There are various wind chimes that play very faintly, as to not irritate the ear constantly. There are a few chairs and couches draped about artistically around the room. The bed is a glamorous affair of pale yellow gauze and ancient wood taking a large part of the North wall. There are intricate carvings in the walls that may or might not mean something in an ancient language-perhaps they are just art. Everything seems to be covered in the same gauze, from the mountain of pillows that face the always-open balcony windows to the doorway they hide opposite of the entrance. There is a low table in front of the pillows and is generally used to eat meals while reclining. The whole room in reality is somewhat sparse, making the color scheme work. It very much feels like one has left reality once they closed the door. The balcony is really more like a terrace, with a fish pond in the center and bushes of yellow roses surrounding it. There is a wooden bench to sit on and not much else. The balcony overlooks one of the Palace’s main gardens but is high enough so that voices don’t drift up-or down, as the case may be. The opposite half hidden door leads to a bathroom done is a more light topaz tone, with a large skylight over the circular pool that serves as a bath. Again, the same shimmering gauze seems to cover everything, even the walls. Behind the veils are various compartments filled with soaps and the like, towels and so on. Anyone with a good eye can detect where the veil can be pushed aside to find more practical things. Notes from Trainer: The odd yellow theme is due to trying to tie in his room to the Gale Key/wind. Air/wind is more properly associated with the color yellow in mythology which is the reason for the motif. Hope you enjoy the Gale Key.
