The Fog Key Description Trained by Signs (signsonthewalls@gmail.com) Name: Adrien Hargrevare Age: Unknown, perhaps 19-25 Species: Human, male Hair: Black, mid-back length, in dreadlocks Eyes: Light grey-blue Skin: Pale, almost sickly grey-ish, and he constantly has dark circles under them. Build: Tall (6'1"), skinny. Not elegant skinny, though, he's just scrawny-skinny, like he doesn't eat enough. He has very strong hands, but other than that, doesn't have very well developed muscles. His face, however, is not gaunt. Clothing: Dark grey, grey-blue, and sometimes black. Always fabric, he doesn't like leather. Personality and Mannerisms: Very quiet, Adrien seems to care very little for people, interacting with them or being one on a social and mental level. This is not to say that he acts like an animal, it just means that he doesn't care to take part in most activities, not even reading or talking with people. His face is usually blank, and people often feel disturbed by his mannerisms and unblinking stare. When he does talk he does it very quietly, slowly, and uses as few words that seems possible. He doesn't lie about anything, including his feelings of general hate towards everyone, and tends to point out things in a way that make them seem so obvious that others feel stupid, small, and/or inferior. Beneath everything he's calm, calculating, and very observant. Past: Not much is known about Adrien Hargrevare's past. He seemed to have turned up without any past, family or origin. The only thing that gives any hint of where he's from is a slight Transylvanian accent, and nothing more. For about four year he was feared throughout the English countryside as a cold-blooded killer that attacked victims who wandered into the fog. He never did it with his own hands; he was clever. He found victims and created traps, often gruesome ones that left police with only a few body-parts to identify. Adrien cared little for human like, that much was evident, but the only thing that he did like seemed to be games. Something that could prove a challenge. His victims were never easy ones, they were overly careful or powerful people in society, or people with a lot of protection around them. There was no real pattern in who he killed, in regards to status, gender, race, etc. Just that they proved interesting. He considered himself a man of secrets, hidden behind a veil of fog where no one could see what was coming until it was too late. There was a time, however, when someone happened to be just a little bit smarter than he was, and saw the trap coming before he even realized that his victim knew he was there. Severely physically overpowered, he was captured and put into police custody. It took him very little time to escape, and police soon found him in the home of his attempted victim, staring at a wall as he wrote "he saw me he saw me he saw me..." on the wall with the man's blood. It had been his first hands-on kill. He didn't put up a fight after that, and was sent to the Palace, since it seems to be a better detainment facility than any prison known to man. After his arrival at the Palace Adrien was quickly made into a Key for those who like a little bit of thrill to their experience there. Or to those who are sent there to be murdered, whichever. Adrien seems to have an indifferent attitude about being used for sex, but has the tendency to set up traps with whatever he can get his hands on. He very rarely finds a master that he finds interesting enough to not try something on. Room: Adrien's room is a large, circular conservatory, but is extremely cold regardless of how much sun comes through the glass walls and roof. Some plants there thrive in the cold climate, but many are dead bushes, trees and vines that seem to have never been cleared away. The downstairs area has many fountains and benches, but is large and dense enough to hide in. This is there for both Adrien's comfort and for those who enjoy the thrill of the chase. (The room is about the size of a basketball court) Artificial fog is pumped into the room all the time, every day, making the place even cooler than usual. A spiral staircase leads up to a balcony that goes around the entire room, though some parts reach out further than the rest of the balcony. These areas would include where the bed and wardrobe are placed and the other, directly across the room, would be the curtained-off bathing area. Even with any color on the outside, inside seems to always be very, very grey. Also, the room itself has no lights aside from a few gas lamps, so once the sun goes down it's more or less impossible to see, unless the moon is bright. Other: Adrien is insane. He doesn't really have a reason to kill, but he seems to take a kind of perverse pleasure in watching it happen, but it's the planning that he really likes. The only time he doesn't take interest in killing or hurting things is when he can find something else to occupy his thoughts. If anyone can manage to get a decent conversation out of him, they'll know instantly that he's incredibly intelligent, he's just simply lacking the mental capacity to seek something more fascinating to study that death. It seems to be one of his favorite conversational topics.
