The Sleeping Dragon Key Description Trained by TimberWolf (timberwolfcanada@hotmail.com) Name: Garyn Age: unknown Appearance: Garyn has a very youthful appearance, looking no more than 15 although he's been a Key for many decades beyond that. He is approximately 5'6, and very fine-boned in appearance, though he has a strength far beyond what his frame would suggest. Garyn has short, steely grey hair, of a length to barely brush his ears in the back. Thick and straight, it has almost a violet sheen along the front, which hangs longer, down past his chin. His eyes are a cool grey-green, which changes to silver at the height of his arousal. He has a very pale, almost topaz cast to his skin. Distinguishing Features/Markings: Garyn has a tattoo of a dagger, the handle beginning just below the small of his back with the dagger's point extending downward to the cleft of his buttocks. Clothes: Garyn wears a snugly fitting vest and matching trousers made of a soft, supple black suede that laces up the sides, leaving lengths of pale skin exposed along his legs and ribs. The trousers mold to every muscle of his hips and thighs, but then flare out slightly at mid calf. Garyn also wears beaten gold armbands around each bicep and a single gold ring in his navel. He has small, wire-rimmed glasses which he needs to read. Personality: Garyn has a meditative, intellectual personality. He is quiet and studied, careful to reason and thoroughly examine every situation from all sides before making any decision or taking any course of action. Garyn considers himself to be a good judge of character and is seldom wrong. He does not bestow his trust lightly but neither does he hesitate to trust someone he deems worthy of it. He is open and honest, and content to be left for long periods between Masters so that he may spend more time with his books. He is a good conversationalist, knowledgeable on a wide range of topics and has a quick wit, though he expresses it only occasionally. Special Gifts: One of Garyn's most unique gifts is his unusually high natural body temperature, and his apparent ability to control it. He is able to maintain his warmth without aid, even in the coolest of rooms, and yet is not bothered by hotter temperatures but seems rather to revel in them even while others may be suffering. Hobbies/Interests: Garyn loves to read, and has an avid interest in history and politics in particular. He enjoys solving puzzles and riddles, and if given the chance, will often ponder one for days, to the exclusion of all else, until he finds the answer. Garyn has a large chess set in his room, and is an excellent player. Experience/Specialties: Garyn has had many different Masters over the years, some longer than others. Most enjoy his sharp wit and intelligent discussion as much as his skill between the sheets. Many have commented that one of the most pleasant things about spending time with Garyn is simply curling up under the sheets with him on a cold winter's night and sharing his body's warmth. History: There is little actually known about Garyn's history. It seems as though every Page believes a different wild tale about his origins... he was a orphan, left on the palace steps... he was a prince of a remote mountain clan, captured in a raid... he was an ambassador from an exotic land far across the sea, forced to become a Key when that land declared war... he was a young romantic who lost they only man he could ever love and so gave himself to the life of a Key. Garyn has been a Key for so long, perhaps only he remembers the truth. Environment: Garyn's rooms are simple, but comfortable. He has a small fireplace, but rarely uses it. His bed is large and luxurious, covered in black satin sheets and a silk damask coverlet. He has a small set of bookshelves, stuffed to overflowing with well-worn books. Next to it are still more piles of books, a small candle lantern, and several large, soft cushions. On the opposite wall, in front of a large, barred window sits a small table with two overstuffed chairs on either side. On the table is a large, ornately carved marble chess set. Each side measuring the full length of a man's arm, the board is made up of contrasting pink and black marble squares. Each piece fills a man's hand and is in itself a delicate work of art carved in intricate detail. Kings, queens pawns, knights, bishops... each is an individual creation, painstakingly rendered and on each of the four castles a dragon sits perched, overlooking the board. In his second room, he has a claw-foot bathtub, large enough to hold two, and a small shelf holding his towels and other toiletries.
