Description:

Hair: Short and generally styled spiked up, with a few locks hanging down into his eyes. Reddish-brown in colour, with natural streaks of white, blonde and orange liberally scattered through it.
Eyes: Hazel. 
Skin: On the dark side of caucasian.

Clothes: The Key of Fire prefers the tough-guy look, generally wearing light blue jeans or white leather pants and a cream-coloured muscle tee; the pale colours contrast very nicely with his not-quite-olive skin and his bright hair.

Tattoos & Jewelry: Nicanor has no tattoos, but has acquired a number of piercings in his time at the Palace -- he has two rings in his right eyebrow, a horizontal barbell in each nipple, a Prince Albert, and six rings in each ear. 

Other: Nicanor has a burn scar that covers almost half his back. The Palace's doctors did their best, so it's a fairly faint scar now, but it's still quite visible if one looks at his back in decent lighting.

History: Nicanor was born in Spain, his mother having moved there from Scotland in order to marry his father. 

He had a fairly normal childhood, with the usual squabbles with his two younger siblings and his parents, as well as a bit of teasing from his peers due to his being only half-Spanish. He was a mediocre student but mostly stayed out of trouble -- in short, he was an average kid.

Nic's life changed drastically when he was 15 years old; a wayward spark and a gas leak started a fire that gutted his family's house and killed his mother and brothers. Nicanor was trapped in his room and badly burned by a fallen beam; the day he woke in the hospital, parts of his hair had gone white, and others had paled to halfway states, turning them blonde or orange -- his hair continued to grow in that way ever after. His father died in the hospital, and Nicanor was sent to a foster home. 

Though it was a decent enough family he was placed with, Nic was troubled by nightmares about the fire and anger over the turn his life had taken; he started getting into fights and otherwise causing trouble. His foster parents tried to discipline him without being too harsh, but soon he was skipping his therapy sessions and school more often than not, and it all culminated in Nic stealing their most valuable possession: a Palace Key. 

The Palace, of course, found out that the Key was stolen, rather than shared, and discussed possible punishments with Nicanor's foster family. Eventually, if reluctantly, Nic's family agreed to leave him in the care of the Palace, where he'd be trained to become a Key himself. 

His hair, now all the colours associated with flames, and his hot temper were what led to Nic being named the Key of Fire. The irony of the name, of course, was an added bonus. Nic eventually grew out of most of his rage, and came to rather enjoy his job.

Experience: Having been a full-fledged Key for almost four years now, Nicanor has quite a bit of experience. He's most fond of more or less vanilla situations, and prefers women over men, though he's happy enough to service both. 

Personality: Though he's mellowed some over the years, Nicanor is still quite moody. He's pleasant enough most of the time, but goes through periods of deep depression and can be very sullen if made to do "weird" things. He won't tolerate being treated like a child or an idiot, and has been known to hit back if humiliated or hurt much in BDSM scenes; as a result, he's generally not given out to Masters who are interested in having a whipping boy. Nicanor also still suffers from nightmares, and is to this day absolutely terrified of fire. 

Room: The Key of Fire has a surprisingly normal room, decorated all in creams and golds, with a few slight hints of red. A king-sized, canopied bed is pushed against the far wall and the floor is wall-to-wall plush, deep-pile ivory carpet. There's a couch and a small table with two chairs, as well, but most of the floor space is left open. A large stereo system is set off to one side, with speakers in every corner of the room. Wide, recessed windows take up almost an entire wall, and there are three doors -- one leading out to the halls of the Palace, one leading into the luxurious bathroom and one that leads out to an enclosed exercise courtyard that Nic shares with a few other Keys.
