The Mourning Dove Key Description Trained by TimberWolf (timberwolfcanada@hotmail.com) Name: Raen Age: 17 Appearance: Raen is approximately 5' 7" tall. He has a pale skin tone, and is quite slender, due to a combination of rarely taking meals and only nibbling when he does bother to eat. He has fine, straight, steel-grey hair, normally worn in a single braid that falls to his waist. His eyes are wide, framed with long dark lashes and are a pale, icy blue. Distinguishing Features/Markings: Raen has a small tattoo of a sharp dagger piercing a heart and dripping a single drop of blood on his left shoulder blade. Clothes: Raen pays little heed to the wide variety of clothing available to him and prefers to wear soft, muted greys and blues. Comfort is his main concern, and when he can get away with it, he'll deliberately chose clothes that are too big, as opposed to the snugly fitted and revealing clothes that most Keys wear. He tends to envelop himself in multiple layers of clothing, seeking the warmth that never seems to reach inside. Raen wears a fine gold chain around his neck, onto which he has strung a man's heavy ring with the word "Forever" inscribed inside it. Personality: Raen is quiet and subdued. He tends not to volunteer information, speaking only when a direct answer is expected. Though he takes little joy in being a Key, he does perform his duties to the fullest and no Master has ever been disappointed in his service. He has become adept at hiding his sad and solemn feelings behind a mask of smiling willingness to serve. It has been a long time since any Master has seen behind that mask to Raen's true face, and longer still since anyone has touched his heart. Hobbies/Interests: Very few things captivate Raen's interest anymore, although at one time he was an avid reader, and an accomplished artist and musician. Experience/Specialties: Raen has had a number of Masters. His first lasted over a year. Unfortunately he became ill with a wasting disease. Raen nursed him until he passed away. Since then, Raen has served each of his Masters faithfully, but never allowed himself to get too close to another. Environment: Raen lives in a large, round tower room. With a window facing each direction, he often sits and watches the sunrise and sunset. His substantial, canopied bed is centered against the wall between the north and east windows, covered with several soft blankets and topped with a large striped fur. The huge fireplace that provides the room's only other warmth is opposite the bed. On the wall between them are hung various old and tattered tapestries, whose intended purpose is to cover the rough stone walls and provide what little insulation they can from the seeping cold. Raen has a small desk, with pens, papers, and books, but he rarely uses it anymore.
