Challenge #3
"Christmas Keyfiction Exchange" (December 2004)
'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the Palace not a Key was stirring, or even stewing with malice. The stockings were hung in the lobby with care, waiting for the stories to fill them in there. The authors were nestled all snug at their 'puters, tearing ideas from their heads like looters. The Page busy with real life and I with my mouse, had just settled down to... upload like a louse?
Gods, I suck at rhymes.

"Cause for Celebration" (February-May 2003)
*CLOSED DUE TO LACK OF LEGITIMATE SUBMISSIONS*
It is a special day, one usually reserved for celebration - perhaps Christmas, a birthday, a feast in honour of a patron deity. How does your Key usually celebrate this day? Do they have both the desire and permission to celebrate it now that they are a slave?
In approximately 1000 words, write a short piece about your Key and a special day. This may be from any time in their life: before, during or after their time at the Palace.
Challenge 2
"The First" (September-November 2002)
Every Key has a memorable "first" experience. This may be their first day at the Palace, their first Owner, the first time they fell in love, the first time they tried to escape, their first day of freedom after being rescued, the first time they sunk into despair.
In approximately 1000 words, write a short piece about your Key, and any experience which was a memorable "first" for your Key. This may be from any time in their life: before, during or after their time at the Palace.
Challenge 1
"Through the eyes of a page" (July-August 2002)
There is very little that occurs in the Palace without a page knowing about it.
In 1000 words or less, write a short piece about your Key, from the point of view of one of the Palace pages. This can be stream of consciousness, an overheard conversation, a scene observed voyeuristically, some simple day-to-day interaction, or anything else you can think of.
