The Fire Opal Key Description

Name: Chyan (pronounced "shan")

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

Age: looks like he's in his late teens

Hair: from afar, it looks carroty red (not attractive at all)...very thick hair ....He hasn't taken good care of his hair...It's got lots of split ends and looks dull. When washed, it has many hues and looks like top of a flame ...blonde and red hues. It looks like it's been hacked at with a knife...very uneven and choppy. His hair is always put in a pony tail...also extremely unflattering to his face. If cut right and washed, his hair would look beautiful.

Eyes: green--extremely clear green--so green that it looks lime in color. His eyes will darken to a jade green when he's upset, though. He wears glasses that make him look...also extremely unattractive (gee...do we see a theme here?)

Skin: milky white when washed and in good health. Greyish...he hasn't eaten well or slept well in a long time.

Height: 5'1"

Weight: 86 lbs.

Body type: He's extremely skinny and gaunt...barely there.

Fashion: Likes to wear big blocky glasses with loose hole-y brown rags.... (does not like to attract attention to himself)

Miscellaneous Description stuff: Has white feathery wings connected to his shoulderblades. One of them has been half-torn off and healed. Because of this, he can't fly.

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION:

Taunted by the other Keys because he's not as attractive as the rest of them, Chyan has a very big self-esteem problem. His inferiority complex makes him very sensitive to anything and everything anyone says to him.

At first glance, Chyan is quite plain and not very attractive. It would take a discerning "jewelsmith" to coax this opal into showing it's radiant beauty.

Chyan has a really bad temper, but he's been trained since birth to hold everything in. Because of this, he has a LOT of pent up issues and does not know how to let go.

EXPERIENCE:

Chyan has lived in his room all his life and has never known of the outside world. He's only had one owner before...the one who made him the way he is now. Chyan is deathly afraid of human contact and is only kept in the palace because he cannot survive in the outside world. Sex has always been equated with pain in Chyan's mind. His former master tortured him constantly and tore one of his wings halfway in the process. Chyan's fright of human contact has labelled him an "unstable" (unsuitable for ownership). Whoever got this key must have been really lucky or really unlucky...depending on the way you look at it.

Chyan is very submissive, though, and would never dream of disobeying his master, though he may pause before doing an embarrassing or frightening action.

Because Chyan's former master told him repeatedly that he had the kind of body and face that begged people to hurt him, Chyan truly believes so and dresses the way he does (hiding his body) because of that.

ENVIRONMENT/ROOM:

Chyan lives in a large room lined with bookshelves. Chyan is extremely obsessed with baking desserts. He can cook like nobody's business. He delights in learning about new methods of dessert making and other things.

Chyan knows many languages and is proficient with them so he can chat with chefs all over the world.

His room is lined with shelves of cookery related books in many languages. In addition, he has his own small kitchen and a computer to sit at to chat online with his contacts about cooking. Other than the large kitchen, the shelves of books, and the computer desk, all Chyan has is a twin-sized bed. (no masters for him, remember?). His room is very austere and bright. His shelves, books, computer desk, everything is decorated in white. He has a skylight that allows tons of light to shine into his room in the day, and many lights for the nighttime. (imagine a very bright white room with white carpet and white everything) There is no mirror in the room ... supposedly so Chyan won't be able to tell how unattractive he is.
