Here you will find links to stories that, in one way or the other, made themselves linger on in the back of my mind. They are *personal* favourites - and when I say that be aware that I am NOT a learned critic or a scholar of literature. I didn'd choose these stories so much on their literary merrit, but more on whether they made an impact on me. Whether, after years of not looking at them, I still remember vital plot elements or phrases that so struck me that I keep remembering them.

All authors have been asked, and have granted permission, to be mentioned here, and my thanks goes out to them for their stories that so embedded themselves into my memory.

"You're tender and you're tired" by Yasmin M.
Not a happy end, and that is the facinating aspect of this story for me. I don't always like happy ends , and this one is tragic, yet liberating as well!

"The Prophesy" by Pumpkin
Very funny! And at last more than yust your standart "run-of-the-mill council members are involved trying to find out whether Qui and Obi are ...well, you read it yourselves!

"Braid" by Pumpkin
A classic amongst the stories describing Jedi rituals. I can indeed believe it could *be* like this. Very nice writing!

The "Warrior's Heart" series by WriteStuff
One of the best series around, the stories within it feature a wealth of in-depth charcterizations and very touching moments. And the BEST SEX SCENE in a fanfic I have read, in "But for Grace", one of the stories in this series! I'm sure you'll enjoy the richness of "Warrior's Heart" as much as I do!

"The Grand Dance" by Saraid
A sparring exercise as living poetry - that's how I would define saraid's description of what Qui and Obi are doing in this story.Very poetic!

"Of poetry and padawans" by Saraid
Hot and very sexy. I wish my "Master" would be that compassionate!*g*

"Fear is not the end" by Llamajoy
I could read this story again and again for the beauty of its language and inventiveness of its images used by the author. It's beautiful, poetic, and touched me on a very emotional level!

"Broken" by JediNic
Sometimes its not enough to say sorry. No happy end - and that'S what I like about this particular story.

"Joined Strength" by Rene (Parts 1 - 3) (Parts 4-18)
A gen fanfiction, taking place during the beginning of Obi-Wan's apprenticeship with Qui-Gon. Very nice characterization of familiars like Bruck Chun, Bant and Garren, but also some very memorable new charcters like a creature called a Sinna. The first link will bring you to the first three parts of the story, after that continue with the second link. If that doesn't work, this story can be found in the fiction archive of the Qui-Gon Jinn Discussion List.

"Story's End" by Keelywolfe
I'm a sucker for h/c stories, and this is a very nicely written one. *Sniff*

"I have a bad feeling about this" by Ruth Gifford and atara
It's naughty and of necessity NC-17. The reason this is memorable to *me* is that this is the foirst time I've raed a description of a certain ... uhm, practice. LOL, enjoy!

"No middle ground" by Isabeau
My favorite category of stories is humor,I think, and this one is just ... side-splittingly humorous! Just goes to show you that you better be careful what you wish for from your Padawan!

"Jedi at the Gate" by Chat Noir
My NUMBER ONE STORY! I have read this story when it was first posted on M&A in August of 1999, and so far *this* is my standart for a humor/parody stroy. Nobody does it better than Chat! So, check out her other stories, which can be found in the M&A archive as well!!!!

"Betrayals of Trust" by Van
I'm a great fan of Mace Windu, and believe that Good-Guy!Mace should have a much greater presence in TPM fanfiction that he has had so far. This is one of many examples in which Master Windu is portayed as evil incarnate.BUT this Bad!Mace story rocks, and is very well-written! Although it's not entirely finished (and I wonder if it ever will be) the story is along and as good as finished, so another reason I recommend it here!

"An Element of Blank" by Sheila
Again, not a happy story, but I found the concept that Qui would not feel his old Padawan's distress because he's preoccupied with other things very refreshing and novel!
